Multi-talented Ottawa native Meredith Luce has always had a passion for performance, but her status as an established folk phenom belies the rock ‘n’ roll that pulses in her veins. Since her beginnings as a teenage busker and the earliest performances with her band, Luce has been driven by the inspiration she takes from rock music.

No stranger to sharing her unique, melodic tunes with crowds of all sizes, the busy songstress has been featured on CBC’s Vinyl Café and All In A Day, CTV’s Good Morning Canada, and has rocked the stages of the Ottawa Folk Festival, Bluesfest, and the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto.

Today, with a demo, two studio albums and a live record to her name, Luce adds to her impressive portfolio with the release of a new album – Creatures – a project of patience and passion, over two years in the making. Featuring the musical brickwork of her talent-rich band, The Mandates (Eric Vieweg, Dean Watson and Tim Watson), Luce’s latest album — Creatures — has a foundation firmly rooted in rock.
