12 March, 2012 — WHAT'S NEW?
2011 was a busy year! I graduated from the Graphic Design program at Algonquin College, released a live album, started recording a studio album, worked with the Ottawa Folk Festival, began working as a children’s book illustrator, and married the love of my life. Phew! What a blast.
In June of 2011, I put in several days at the Gallery Studio (Ottawa) towards a new album. This project has remained dormant since those sessions, but promises to reawaken later this summer.
This year started off slowly, perhaps out of necessity after all of last year’s activity. I played a small number of shows: Winterlude, the Manx, and songwriter circles at the Branch Restaurant and the Elmdale Tavern.
Now, I am luxuriating in the unknowns of the coming months with an open heart. I am embracing the healthy lifestyle patterns that have emerged from my routines. Maybe I will catch up on all of the sleep I lost during my push through college over the last three years.
Onward and upward!
